Wax Light
I tried to portray simplicity in this photo. I shot in dark lighting to minimize the appearance of my hand and to better capture the light of the candle. The capturing element of the photo is the simple light and glowing glass. The grain gives the picture a vintage feel and the little drip of wax also makes the photo appealing to the eye. If I were to reshoot I would try to minimize the appearance of my hand holding the candle. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this picture.
Sonora
This photo is a combination of mergers and lines. The detail of the house and the merging of the trees in the background create a fitting picture. I love this photo because it brings back memories of growing up at my grandmothers house. I was always scared of the big cactus by the side of the house, which is pictured here. I can't find the original image but this is the edited version with grain. I do like the grain because it adds a rustic look to the photograph. If I were to reshoot I would try to change my angle and experiment with the lighting.
Stained Shadow
I used the rule of thirds to capture this photograph. I find it pleasing to the eye because there are dark and light shades throughout the photo. In the bottom you can see dead (dark) flowers and then a beautiful art piece of stained glass in the middle. The photo also has a brown tone which I find pleasing. I wouldn't want to change anything if I were to reshoot this photo. Perhaps, I would experiment with the lighting.
Dark Eyes
I love my grandmothers dog. The dog in the picture is named Coco. I took this photo of him using the rule of simplicity. The shine of his eyes make this picture one of my favorites of all time. The blurred background and the cute dogs gazing stare draws me into the picture. If I were to reshoot I would change the location to the concrete cement at my grandmothers house so the background of the image could be less noticeable.
Strawberry Fields Forever
My grandpa and I used to sit outside this shed when I was younger. After raking leaves and helping him with chores, we would sit in the backyard and he would tell me stories of his past. He would talk to me about the strawberry fields, Mexico, and stories about gnomes. I really like the tone of color and atmosphere the photo was taken in. I don't think I would change anything about this photo.
