The principle of composition present in this photo is balance. I feel as if this photo is evenly weighed on both sides, and I overall really enjoy this picture. One thing I would change however is I would have positioned my body slightly more to the left, because that side of the rock looks very empty.
San Giovanni
The principle of composition in this photo is lines because of the masts and ropes coming down towards the ship, drawing the eye towards the subject. I really like this photo because its one of the few images I like that works in black and white, and looks better than it'd be in color. One thing I would have changed is the shutterspeed, I had to sharpen this image a bit because the boat was spinning and I would have liked to avoid that step all-together.
The Guitarist
The principle of composition present in this image is lines, due to the wall, the rocks, and the ship masts pointing towards the guitarist. I like this image because it is a good example of street photography, as well as the different colors. One ting I would change however is I would have taken this at a lower angle, I was basically in the middle of running when I saw this musician, so I quickly stopped, snapped three pictures and ran off.
Summer Sunset on a Quiet Street
The principle of composition present in this photo is lines. With the cars, the poles, and the horizon pointing towards the sun, it draws the eye there. One also could say it is also rule of thirds, due to the cars being on the left, the sun in the middle, and the poles on the left. However, one thing I would change is that I would have made the horizon slightly higher to allow for a little bit more street in the picture.
The Day When the Sun Turned Red
The principles of composition present in this photo are lines and framing. The branches not only point towards the sun, but the lower branch acts as a successful frame for the sun as well. One thing I would change about this photo however is I would have positioned the camera better to put the background tree out of frame, because it is somewhat distracting to me.
