This photo was taken long before I took photo one and therefore I did not know about the principles of composition. Looking at it now I can see the rule of thirds and maybe even a little balance throughout the trees. I enjoy the way the sky brightens the photo and makes the trees appear brighter. If I took this photo again I would go to the left more with only one tree up close, so the trees in the background could also have more focus.
Ocean View
The principles of composition I see are rule of thirds and possibly mergers. The engine on the plane shows rule of thirds and to some it could be a merger. In this instance I remember wanting to show part of the plane, and all I was next to was the engine so I used that. I really like the depth of the photo and the rich colors of blue not only from the sky but also the ocean. If I ever were to retake this I would pick a spot on the plane next to the wing if I could, and get an angle that shows more of the ground.
Hawaiian Paradise
The only principle of composition I somewhat see would be balance. I can see a balance between the two islands out in the distance. I like all the different tones and how I can see not only the sky, but the islands, city, and ocean. If I were to take this photo again I would have either zoomed in or turned the angle a little bit to the left to get it more centered.
Spring Flowers
Like the last photo, I believe I took this photo before learning about the principles of composition. I can see now that I used simplicity to get a close view on the flowers and even a little balance within the pink flowers. I really like how all the colors pop against the leafy green background which makes the photo fun to look at. If I were to take this photo again, I might try a different angle to get more small flowers in the photo.
Holly
I remember taking this photo after getting my new phone. The only principle of composition I see is simplicity, which is shown through her face. I like this photo because it took many times to get her to stop moving and this clear. While taking this she was walking, and I was astounded to see how clear it was. I also enjoy the shadows on her face. If I could do this photo again I might get her face more centered or go to a different background.
